OBJECTIVE
To gain employment in a field relative to my experience and/or interests with the ability to move
upwards within the company and further my career while providing a positive impact.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Data Analyst / Group Leader Assistant
November 2010 present
BAE Systems | Roy, UT
Defense/Security/Aerospace Contractor
As a Data Analyst, I load and manage the bill of materials found normally in Air Force T.O.’s
(Technical Orders) and Engineering Schematics, which are loaded into "AVCOM", an obsolescence
management tool which provides information for impact analysis on logistics.
I generally use Intergrated Parts Breakdowns, a Technical Order used by the Air Force which provides
a breakdown of systems, subsystems, boards, assemblies and components, paired with part
descriptions, part numbers, CAGE codes, SMR codes, reference designators, and other various
information, which I verify, capture and load into software according to the specific build of the parts
listed. I correct, update or edit any changes that are required to the information that is provided,
through analytical reasoning and deduction. Special attention is payed to the revisions that a technical
order or schematic may hold, by request of the customer and is also documented. The verification is
accomplished through the aid of several logistics databases (such as FEDLOG, WebFLIS, Assistdocs,
etc) and also through the illustrations provided in the Technical Orders or engineering schematic. Data
is also sorted by specific search queries such as wildcards, truncation and proximity searching which
allow easier recognition of overlooked errors. A background in an electrical field also aids me in
identifying errors or required changes because of the high amount of electrical and electronic
components. At times, engineering drawings are used instead of IPB's which also provide much of the
same information but require more interpretation. The information I input is eventually loaded into a
program which is combined with other data that provides information on parts that have been
discountinued, superseded, counterfeited or may cause an impact in the future. I am also responsible to
submit requests for required changes I locate within the database, whether they are updates, errors,
requests, etc to keep all information as current as possible. I was promoted after I returned from
deploying to South Korea and began approving documents shortly after. Any errors or required
changes, which I find, are annotated and discussed with the author of the document to prevent a pattern
of further mistakes. Afterwords, the document is submitted to the final QA inspection before it is made
available to the customer.
Relative Skills Interpreting Schematics, Diagrams and Engineering Drawings, Typing, Data Entry, Use
of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Windows, etc, Proficient use of Military Logistical Databases,
Proper use and interpretation of Military Technical Orders, Logic and Deductive Reasoning and
Handling of Sensitive Information.
Electrical & Environmental Specialist
January 2009 present
United States Air Force Reserve | Hill AFB, UT
I joined the USAF Reserves in 2009 and graduated as Top Graduate in Tech School as an Electrical
and Environmental Specialist. Afterwards, I took additional Seasonal Training through 2010 and
received various awards.
Specialty Summary: Performs and supervises aircraft electrical and environmental (E&E) functions and
activities. Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft
E&E systems, components, and associated support equipment.
I work on the F16 C/D Block 40 airframe on the flightline at Hill Air Force Base. The systems and
subsystems I maintain include electrical power generation, emergency power generation, electrical
power distribution, environmental control systems (pneumatics comparable to HVAC systems), bleed
air distribution, cabin temperature control, cabin pressurization, equipment cooling, landing gear, nose
wheel steering, master caution and warning systems, oxygen systems, internal and external lighting, fire
suppression and extinguishing systems. Paired with these systems includes the use of wiring diagrams,
calibrating tools, equipment and components, interpreting blueprints and schematics, removing, repairing
and installing electrical components and assemblies such as relays, switches, amplifiers, capacitors, DC
converters, regulators, circuit breakers, electrical contacts, pins and terminals, wire harnesses, cannon
plugs, adapters, sensors, etc. Common hardware which I replace includes ducts, valves, panels,
gaskets, seals, Orings, filters, clamps, brackets, screws, washers, retainers, bolts, nuts, washers and
other general hardware related items. Common assemblies which I replace include electrical and
pneumatic gauges, indicators, generators, power supplies, bezels, covers, light assemblies and systems
specific boxes. Troubleshooting is accomplished using logic and deduction combined with the
knowledge of system operation, the use of a Fault Isolation manual and sometimes test equipment. The
tools used to accomplish maintenance includes wire crimpers and strippers, multimeters, dykes,
push/pull gauges, ratchets, sockets, screwdrivers, wrenches, lead kits, pliers, speed handles, safety
wire, torque wrenches and other specialty tools. Other responsibilities outside of maintenance include
flightline safety and security, detailed forms use and documentation (physical and digital), aiding in
aircraft launches, foreign object damage control, tool inventory, ordering correct components,
sometimes based upon TCTO's (modifications), and correct technical orders usage. I am currently a 5
Level E&E Specialist (Journeyman).
Relative Skills Troubleshooting Electrical Systems, Troubleshooting Pneumatical Systems, Installation
and Removal of Aircraft Components, Usage of Test Equipment for Electrical & Environmental
Systems, Wiring Repair, Interpreting Blueprints, Wiring Diagrams and Schematics, Use of various

will be no conflict between my civilian job and the USAFReserve. My fulfillment with the military only
require one weekend a month and two weeks, every year and I am no longer on any active duty status
